Payments are due by the last day of the first month of the billing quarter.
Please remit water and sewer bills on separate checks along with the large payment stub.
Make all checks payable to the “BBMUA” and mail to BBMUA, P.O. Box 696, Minotola, NJ 08341.
In accordance with N.J.S.A. 40;14B-41 at the Municipal Utilities Authority Law )chapter 183 P.L.), Interest at the rate of 1.5% per month will be charged on all delinquent balances until they are fully paid. Delinquent balances constitute a lien against the property and are enforceable as such. All delinquencies 120 days or more are subject to a service shut-off.
The BBMUA is not responsible for damages caused by sewage backup resulting from plumbing fixtures below ground level.
It is illegal to have sump pumps connected to the sewer system and will be strictly enforced. It is the customers responsibility to protect the water meter from freezing.
The customer will be charged for the cost of a new meter if it is replaced due to freezing.
Customers should conserve water by checking for leaky toilets and spigots.
